Jarrod

I noticed Jarrod about ten minutes before I spoke with him. He'd flown by me on his skateboard (a very popular means of transportation on campuses, I'd discovered) and something about his presence made me want to speak with him. 

"How are you feeling about the state of America?" I asked him.

"We're gonna be okay," he told me. 

"Why do you think that?" 

"Based on my background, and who I am."

"Who is that?" I wanted to know. 

"I'm a Christian. I think God's got it." 

I thanked Jarrod, and clicked off my camera. "Good luck with your project," he said as way of goodbye.
